Hank is Chairman and Wissner-Slivka Chair in the Computer Science and Engineering department. His research spans operating systems, distributed systems, security and computer architecture. He is the author of two books and more than 100 papers on computer systems design. He is a Member of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE), a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), a Fellow of the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and recipient of a Fulbright Research Scholar Award.
Arvind is an Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering. His research interests span all aspects of building practical and robust computer systems. His recent work is aimed at making improvements to the robustness, security, and performance of Internet-scale systems.
Dan is a Research Scientist in the Computer Science and Engineering department. He is interested in almost all issues related to distributed systems and operating system: how to construct scalable, fault-tolerant, secure systems. Dan recently received his PhD from MIT, where he was advised by Barbara Liskov.
Franzi is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering. Her research focuses on computer security and privacy, particularly designing and building systems that address security and privacy challenges faced by end users of existing and emerging technologies.
